The Reconstruction of Shenzhen Wenjindu Border Port has finally drawn to a close in this August after over three years of waiting. The main body of Combination Examination Building has finished, while the equipment installation and commissioning of the Customs, Commodity Inspection Bureau and Fronted Defense Inspection Bureau etc. are proceeding.      Wenjindu Border Port is one of the two Shenzhen's land port before Reform and Opening-up Period, it's also one of the ten inland port of China, which is located in the south of Luohu District.      With the development of economy, Wenjindu Border Port starts reconstruction in 2010 to meet the demand of rapid increase relationship between Hong Kong and the Mainland. As the key construction project determined by the "Framework Agreement on Hong Kong/Guangdong Cooperation", the reconstruction of Shenzhen Wenjindu Border Port has been giving much attention from Hong Kong Government and Shenzhen Municipal Government.

     It is reported that the overall floorage of reconstruction project of Shenzhen Wenjindu Border Port is 47646.51 sqm, including the Combination Examination Building, Car Park Building, Minibus Inspection Channel, Rainshed etc. The Combination Examination Building has six stories, and the road lanes have increased from two to five (including two Oversize Vehicle Lane and three Car Lane). Before the reconstruction, Wenjindu Border Port has only two road lanes that supports the customs clearance of 9,000 people and 1,100 cars per day, but after the reconstruction, it can support the customs clearance of 30,000 people and 3,550 cars per day, almost tripled more than before.
